We're excited to have you join us on this cosy and festive crochet journey. Regardless of you level of crochet experience, this CAL promises to be a wonderful experience filled with warmth and community.
The Festive Hygge Cushion design draws inspiration from my Festive Hygge Blanket pattern. This pattern was inspired by my love of the holiday season. Think building snowmen with the kids, decorating the Christmas tree, sipping hot chocolate whilst cuddled up under a blanket, or beautifying your home with a touch of homemade magic. It's a pattern that captures the essence of 'hygge'—that wonderful feeling of cosiness and contentment.

What is a CAL?
A Crochet Along, often abbreviated as CAL, is a creative journey that brings crocheters from around the world together to work on the same crochet project. It's a collective experience where participants follow a shared pattern, usually released in parts, over a designated period of time. CALs are a wonderful way to build a sense of community, learn new techniques, and produce a beautiful crochet item while enjoying the support and camaraderie of fellow crocheters. Whether you're a novice or an experienced crocheter, CALs offer an inclusive and enjoyable way to create something special and connect with a wider crochet community. It's not just about the finished project; it's about the shared experience of making something beautiful and engaging with like-minded individuals.
Important Dates
The CAL will kick off on Monday the 6th of November and run for two weeks. During this time, we'll release the pattern in sections, making it easy for everyone to follow along. Here's a breakdown of the important dates:

Materials List
To create your own diamonds motif Festive Hygge Cushion, you will require:
A 4mm crochet hook
505m/555yds of DK yarn in the background color
75m/82yds of DK yarn in the motif color
A 40cm/16-inch cushion pad
Row counter (optional)
Yarn bobbins (optional)
As voted for by the Elimee Designs newsletter subscribers my samples were made using blue and white yarn. I used Stylecraft Special DK in shades midnight and white. I frequently use this brand of yarn because it is both affordable and comes in a fabulous range of colours. I strive to keep my designs accessible to as many crocheters as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difficulty level for this pattern?
This pattern was designed with advanced beginner crocheters in mind, however we have a number of video tutorials available to help you crochet this pattern with ease, regardless of your skill level. Each video includes English subtitles to help make them accessible to all.
How will I receive the pattern sections?
If you are following along with the free version of the CAL, you will receive each section via email on the scheduled days (i.e. Mondays and Fridays). If you have upgraded to the VIP version you will receive the pattern in its entirety on the CAL start date of November 6th.
Will the pattern be available in different languages?
This CAL will only be available in English.
How much does the CAL cost?
The diamonds motif version of the Festive Hygge Cushion is available entirely free. If you wish to update to the VIP version of the pattern the price is £6.
Can I crochet this pattern later?
Of course, however the free version of the pattern will only be available for the duration of the CAL. Once the CAL has ended only a paid version will be available.
Is pattern support available if I get stuck?
You are welcome to join the Elimee Designs Facebook group and ask for help with any issues that arise. Our members are friendly and helpful, and I will of course answer queries wherever possible. VIP particpants are guaranteed personalised support from myself.
